North West Boroughs Trust Wigan CAMHS are in a position to appoint a successful candidate for a full time permanent position with the Specialist CAMHS Paediatric Liaison Clinic.

The service currently provides specialist consultation and assessment for children and young people up to the age of 18 years who present with chronic health conditions that impact on their mental health.

Service core hours are 9am - 5pm but staff may be required to flexible on occasions.

You will need to have proven knowledge in mental health assessment, risk assessment, formulation, planning and intervention for children with a variety of mental health presentations including those with complex needs.

You will understand and be committed to the processes that lead to recovery in mental health and fully understand the principles and processes of mental health assessment, risk assessment and risk management. You will work as a vital member of the multi-disciplinary team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your skills and develop a highly skilled working style. The Team Manager(s) will provide regular managerial supervision and the successful candidate will have access to continuing professional development.

Post registration skill is essential and you must be able to demonstrate evidence of recent knowledge, assessment skills, risk management and the ability to work alone as well as within a multi-disciplinary team.

This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
