This is an exciting new role, it's full time although job share would be considered. The job is open to qualified mental health nurses, social workers or occupational therapists with a special interest in working with people whose primary difficulty is personality disorder.
As Link Worker you will support people who find engaging in active treatment (the Trust Personality Disorder pathway) difficult with the aim of helping them to access and benefit from the pathway. In order to do this you would work with the system/agencies that are involved with the person as well as the person themselves. You will also provide specialist assessments in personality disorder (training can be provided for this) and deliver treatment for personality disorder (for example Structured Clinical Management).
This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
We are committed to the delivery of outstanding care for our patients. The successful candidate will share this commitment and demonstrate both our Trust values and our culture of compassionate care.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
