North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (formerly known as 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust until 1st April 2017), provides physical health, mental health and learning disability services across the North West region. The Trust employs around 4000 staff across our sites and also has a Temporary Bank which offers the flexibility of working shifts around other commitments.

We are committed to providing safe, compassionate care and look to appoint people who are as passionate about patient care as we are.

Are you an RMN that has a passion for working with Adults and Carers in their homes? This is an exciting time to join the Home Treatment Team at our newly built site of Atherleigh Park.

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our supportive, lively multi-disciplinary team, who will stand in for the Team Manager in their absence. We are looking for a highly skilled and professional nurse with a minimum of two years post registration to provide a high standard of intensive care to service users in their homes as an alternative to hospital admission.

The team also supports service users that are suitable for early discharge should an inpatient stay be required. The role requires clinicians to travel therefore it is essential that the applicant has the means, ability and willingness to travel in the course of performing duties.

As the team is currently developing new systems some experience of change management and pathway development would be beneficial.
The service covers the Wigan and Leigh areas. The post is currently based at our newly built premises of Atherleigh Park.

Supporting the service we have SNP’s, STR Workers, Medical staff, Occupational Therapist, and a Psychologist. As part of our role we also act as gatekeepers to the Adult Acute Mental Health Wards based at Atherleigh Park. Successful applicants will be offered a full Trust Induction and local work based induction. Any applicants are expected to be fully capable of working with minimal support. Access is given to mandatory training and service specific training as identified in the Management supervision process.

This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
