North West Boroughs Health Care NHS Foundation Trust Podiatry Department is seeking to recruit a Band 5 Podiatrist for a part time position 18.75 hours to work within our well-established team.

All applicants must hold a Degree or Diploma in Podiatric Medicine and a Certificate for Local Anaesthesia. Candidates will also need to demonstrate good communication skills, a flexible and proactive approach to work.

The role would include a broad range of activities inclusive of assessment, diagnosis, and development and implement individual care programmes for new and existing patients with a wide variety of clinical need, such as, long term conditions, vascular problems, neurological conditions, wound management, sharp debridement, gait analysis/manufacture of orthoses and nail surgery. This work will be based within clinics across primary and secondary care, day centres, domiciliary visits and residential/nursing homes.

Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

This post is subject to a standard / an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure and £29.50 for a standard disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
