Are you a Specialist Practitioner with a commitment for delivering outstanding care that brings the 6 Cs (care, compassion, commitment, courage, communication and competence) to life? If so, we want to hear from you.

We have two vacancies, one permanent and one fixed term for Health visitors to join us in leading the delivery of a quality service to children and their families in St Helens.

The role provides the opportunity to work with individuals, families, carers, communities, Primary Healthcare Teams and other agencies to undertake a comprehensive specialist assessment of children and families in order to inform a personalised plan of care. The post holder will formulate and deliver an individual treatment programme using specialist assessment, reasoning and treatment skills as part of the Healthy Child Programme, including children who may be cause for concern, subject to safeguarding and looked after children

Applicants must have current NMC registration and the ability to evidence recent clinical knowledge within schools and similar environments. A thorough understanding of current policy pertaining to the health and safeguarding of children and a sound knowledge of the public health agenda in relation to local and national targets for children and young people is vital.

The means and willingness to travel between multiple sites in the course of performing duties is essential for this post.

This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
