We are excited to confirm that we have an opportunity for 1.6 WTE band 5 Children’s nurses in the South and Newton/Haydock localities within St Helens Borough.

Our opportunities:

Our band 5 roles provide the opportunity to deliver targeted clinical input to identified children. Successful applicants will have delegated responsibility for the assessment of health care needs, implementation and evaluation of care as part of the Healthy Child Programme, including children who may be cause for concern, subject to safeguarding and looked after children.

The successful candidate:

As a must have you will need -

• Preferable experience of Children’s nursing.

• NMC Registration

• A thorough understanding of current policy pertaining to the health and safeguarding of the school-age population.

• A sound knowledge of the public health agenda in relation to local and national targets for children and young people.

• The ability to travel across sites. Please indicate your ability to meet this requirement on your application.

This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
