Taylor Ward is a male admissions ward in St. Helens Merseyside. Our ward provides a safe and comfortable environment to promote recovery and mental wellbeing.
Our inpatient mental health services are for adults male with severe mental health problems like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and severe depression. The key role as an activity coordinator is to encourage individuals in participating in a range of therapeutic activities to enable structure and purpose on a daily basis meeting the individual needs wishes and aspirations to demonstrate the ability to provide a person centered approach in achieving the best possible outcomes for the individual patients on the ward.
As a must you will have:
- Experience of working with service users with mental health problems
- Ability to communicate in a variety of settings with service user of varying levels of understanding
- A flexible approach to working hours some evening’s weekend’s shifts may be required for special occasions events etc.
- Ability to demonstrate a committed attitude to service users, carers and other staff
This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure and £29.50 for a standard disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
