We are looking to recruit highly a committed registered Nurse to join our Children’s Community Nursing Service working in the community and special school environment. The post holder will work as a member of a Children’s Community Nursing team to promote and maintain the health, well-being and safety of children, young people and their families.

The role provides opportunity to deliver clinical interventions and the Healthy Child Programme to children with complex needs in a variety of settings including home, nursery and school placements. 

The successful candidate will gain experience in both the community and in the special school. It is an opportunity to enhance clinical skills and knowledge and develop health care plans for children with a wide variety of needs across all ages, working in partnership with children, parents, carers and partner agencies including education staff, to achieve positive health outcomes for children and young people.

Applicants must possess RSCN qualification and have current or recent knowledge of working within a paediatric care environment. Previous community working is advantageous.

The ability means and willingness to travel between multiple sites in the course of performing duties is essential. The role will involve regular travel across all healthcare organisation sites in the North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Trust catchment area. Therefore, the post holder must be able to meet the travel requirements of this post. Please indicate on your application how you meet this requirement. 

This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
