Part Time Registered Clinician - Child Health Nurse - Agenda for Change - Band 5

Knowsley 

We are looking to recruit a highly committed registered nurse to join our Children's Community Care Service in Knowsley to assist in the delivery of the National Healthy Child Programme.

The post holder will work within the Service to promote and maintain the health, well being and safety of children, young people and their families.

The role provides opportunity as a member of the 0-19 service to deliver services across a variety of community settings including clinics, GP's surgeries, mainstream, special and alternative educational settings, Children’s centres and clients’ homes.

Successful candidates will work with delegated responsibility for the assessment of health care needs, and offer targeted support, in partnership with parents, carers and agencies to achieve positive health outcomes for children and young people.

Applicants must possess RGN or RSCN qualification and have an understanding of public health and safeguarding issues affecting children and young people.

Previous community working is advantageous. 

IMPORTANT The ability, means and willingness to travel between multiple sites in the course of performing duties is essential in this post. The role will involve regular travel across multiple sites in the North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust catchment area. Therefore, the post holder must be able to meet the travel requirements of this post. Please indicate on your application how you meet this requirement.

This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
