The Role:

We are delighted to offer an exciting role of Named Doctor for Safeguarding Children.

Who should apply?

The post is open to Consultant Psychiatrist and Senior Doctors who have experience in child safeguarding and Multi-disciplinary team working

Overall duties

  •  To actively participate on the work of the Trust’s safeguarding Team

 

  •  To work with the Medical Director to ensure that mechanisms for training and informing medical staff are used effectively to ensure that child safeguarding matters are disseminated and understood by medical staff.

 

  •  In conjunction with other members of the Safeguarding Team, to support and advise the Trust Board on child safeguarding matters as they relate to medical staff

 

This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.  Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
