North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (formerly known as 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust until 1st April 2017), provides physical health, mental health and learning disability services across the North West region. The Trust employs around 4000 staff across our sites and also has a Temporary Bank which offers the flexibility of working shifts around other commitments.

Start date: August 2018 (an early start date may be considered)

Salary: 2nd point of the F2 (£35,013 ) or 1st point on the Core Trainee pay-scale

           plus banding at 1B 40%

Duration: 6-12 months

We are delighted to offer an exciting developmental role for a Clinical Fellow in Psychiatry

Applications are invited from candidates for innovative 6-12 month Clinical Fellow posts in General Adult or Old Age psychiatry.

Applicants without GMC registration are welcome to submit an application, but please note that it is essential to have full and valid GMC registration prior to commencing in post.

Duties of post

  • General adult or Old Age Psychiatry depending on your preference and service need  
  • You will provide daytime clinical services under supervision and contribute to the on call rota as first on call 
  • There are opportunities for inpatient, community and outpatient settings

Medical Education  

  • The successful candidate will have access to the local MRPsych academic programme and be encouraged to undertake MRPsych examinations
  • You will have access to a highly regarded medical education team and a well-stocked centrally located library
  • Paid study leave with expenses will be provided for appropriate qualifications
  • North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has a strong culture of medical engagement and is keen to engage doctors in leadership activities appropriate to your level of training.

This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
